Losing my Saved Artists/Albums

Losing my Saved Artists/Albums

I have been having continuing issues Saving new albums to My Music. I like to Save albums and artists, and then make them available offline so I don't have to stream them and use up unnecessary data. However, it has been so frustrating because I'll Save an album and then will go in sometime later and find it isn't there. So I do a Search on it again and find that the album no longer says "Saved" but it says "Save" like I never did anything. When I click "Save" again, it will switch to "Saved" and then I'll see the little green arrows on each song like they're downloaded, but the "Available Offline" option is still Off so I don't know if they're actually saved or not.

 

This has been so frustrating! I wasn't too worried about it at first because I figured it was just a bug that would get quickly fixed, but it's been months! I'm at the point where I'm seriously thinking of dumping Spotify and trying something else. Is nobody else having this issue?

 

I am a Premium member and I use my iPhone 5. If I'm going to pay for something, which I have no problem doing, I'd really like it to work how it's supposed to.

I've had this same issue for a year and they have neither fixed nor responded. I'm looking at alternatives unfortunately. Had enough

Yep. I'm looking forward to trying out Apple's new music thing next week. I think I'll be saying goodbye to Spotify.

Hi migihtmike75 and jayjeff79.  Sorry to hear this is happening.  Do you know what versions of Spotify you are running?  The latest version on the app store is 3.3.0.  You can find this out by going to Settings within the Spotify app, under 'About'.

Yep, that's the version I'm on. I almost always update to the newest version as soon as it's available. I tried again. I went and saved an Artist/Album to my Artists, closed out the app, and again when I opened it back up, the album was not in my saved Artists/Albums.

You've already confirmed that everything is running the latest version, and this issue seems a little more complex.

This is happening to me. I save albums, then download it and when I quit and turn back, all my saved music is gone. This is very annoying! I tried uninstalling app then remove all the folders using a PC. I've done this 3 times, and the problem continues. This is not related to the android or smartphone model because most of the lost albums, when I come back to them and download again, the green icon appears to all music at the same time! This means that the music is downloaded into my smartphone, but Spotify does not find then. This is a ridiculous bug for a payed app. I tried to contact support but until now there's no response. Next Friday it's the deadline, if they do not support me, I'm cancelling and move to Google app or deezer. Shame on you Spotify

Same problem here. Losing all my saved albums. And Spotify support does not help me until now. Do you have the solution for this?

yes, i have the same issue with my ipod touch. it has happend 3 times in a month. this is unacceptable. I got spotify and ipod touch so tht i can listen to tunes in my car while offline. After this happens it takes hours to re download everything. Then it disappears when i want to listen again. Spotify suggest deleting and reloading the app. then i have to recreate all my playlists and album searches. very maddeneing and seriously considering dumping this service. i can't belive that the people of today would put up with this **bleep** especially if there are other services out there.
