Moved to iPhone (AirPods) happens when playing on PC and app is open

Moved to iPhone (AirPods) happens when playing on PC and app is open

Recently my AirPods started to "jump" from my Mac to the Spotify app everytime it's open, pausing my music. This seems to be a bug in the Spotify app, which when opened seems to show the "volume controls" for the Mac.

Somehow this triggers the iPhone to think the Spotify app should get precedence and takes the AirPods away from the computer

Hey @nadavge,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

Just to be on the same page, since this could be related to an outdated version of the app on your devices, would you mind confirming if you've already performed a clean reinstall on both? If not, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article to see if it makes any difference.

If the issue persists, include in your next response the model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We'll be waiting for your response.

I’ve done a reinstall of both versions, the issue persists

Hey @nadavge,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Remember to send over all the device info that @OscarDC requested above.

If possible, it'd also be helpful if you could record a video of the issue for us to take a better look at this behavior. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor, or you can upload it to another platform like YouTube or Google Drive and send a link to it. Make sure to exclude any kind of personal info from it, and if you decide to upload it to another platform, to give it the relevant permissions so we can see it.

Keep us posted.
