Music has stopped playing in random

Music has stopped playing in random

I have previously reported this issue last year and the agent knew what I was talking about. They told me that this was being looked. Sadly nothing has been rectified. I am not sure anyone actually knows what I am talking about. It’s nothing to do with my account. I have logged in and out. I have completed hard reset It’s down to Spotify changing your operational features. Previously if I wanted to listen a completely random track. I would press the play button and it would randomly go to a different song. Now what has happened, If I want to listen a random song the shuffle mode only plays what it wants to select even when I disable the shuffle mode it still won’t allow me to press the button to randomly listen to. I am not the only user

Hey there,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

Previously, the Shuffle and Play buttons were merged into a single one containing both signs. This "Shuffle-Play" button also worked as a "next" every time you hit it, but in recent updates it was separated again due to user's feedback.

However, you can still start your playback with a random song from a playlist by hitting the play button if the shuffle button is also active . Keep in mind that you can still change tracks by swiping the "now playing bar" to the right or hitting the next button.

In case you want the older button to come back, a similar idea has already been suggested here and it's currently set as Live Idea - feel free to add your vote by hitting the “Thumbs up” button and subscribe to it!  Any changes or updates will be posted in that thread.

If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.
