My Spotify playlist is pausing after every song?

My Spotify playlist is pausing after every song?

Spotify keeps pausing after every song and I need to either put on another playlist or use one of my daily ‘select song’s. I can’t skip, and this only happens when magic shuffle plays a certain song, specifically Floral and Fading by PTV. I can’t skip, and I don’t have premium. Any suggestions?

Hi @Evie18, thanks for reaching out!

My first suggestion is that you ensure that both your Spotify app and device’s operating system are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues with playback.

If everything is up to date, the issue could be related to a few different things, especially since you mentioned you don’t have a Premium account.

Here are a few things you can try to fix it:

1. Check Your Internet Connection - If you're on a mobile data connection or have unstable Wi-Fi, the song may not load properly and cause pauses. Try switching to a more stable connection to see if the issue persists.

2. Clear Cache - Sometimes Spotify stores cache files that can cause playback issues. Clearing the cache could help resolve the problem.
- On mobile:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Scroll down to Storage or Data.
3. Tap on Clear Cache.
- On desktop: You can clear cache by:
1. Open Spotify.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll down and click on Show Advanced Settings.
4. Look for Offline Storage and click Clear Cache.

3. Log Out and Log In Again - Sometimes, logging out and back in can help refresh your account and resolve any temporary bugs or glitches.

4. Reinstall the Spotify App - Uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify can help resolve any software bugs. This will give you a fresh start with the app and can eliminate any corrupted files that may be causing the problem.

Let me know if any of these work or if you need more detailed steps for any of them!
