Need to prevent time counter and buttons from disappearing after 3 seconds

I have the latest iOS version of Spotify as of writing this. When I'm in playback, the time counter and all the buttons disappear after 3 seconds. It's crazy that I can't find a setting to change that leaves all of this info on the screen constantly. I hate swiping to change tracks, so now I have to tap twice (once to bring the buttons back and once to advance track) to do what only required one tap before. I also want to be able to glance and see exactly how many minutes and seconds are left in a track.

I also like to keep my counter on at all times.
The way to keep it stuck on the display is to double tap the left side timer. Double tapping again (on the left side) will make it perform the 3 second vanishing act.  

The right side timer can be tapped once to alternate the different countdown view.
I can now see my timer always counting down for each song and it only disappears if I double tap the left again.

Hopefully that helps and you can get yours to stick as well. 🙂
