Newest update and issues on ipod touch

I want to say that I normally don't go to the trouble to write such a detailed review but the newest release of Spotify for iOS is causing major headaches for me.

Let's see where to begin...1st of all Spotify seems to keep making the app more and more bloated with features we do not want or need.  Not all of us are using the newest i-phone with the fastest processor and uber amounts of RAM.  Everytime Spotify creates an update it gets more and more clunky on the ipod touch 5.  It's getting clunky on the older ipad models as well. This app used to work flawlessly and now has so many problems it's almost becoming a joke.  If you can't make a stable version that runs across all the i-platforms, then perhaps you need to make a less bloated version for the touch.

1. Lag and Hangs -big time! When I change a track or skip, many times the title and album art will hang on what was playing two songs prior..and sometimes the app crashes altogether.  When I choose to add a song to a playlist, it hangs and sits there almost like it's not adding the song.  A minute passes before I get a message that the song was added to the playlist.  This has been an issue with the last two updates that has not been fixed.

2. Synching my personal files to my playlists no longer is available -and- the songs I already have synched to specific playlists do not work.  The app skips right over them.  Why do you tout this as a feature if you have taken it away?  This is even more so annoying when I have my ipod synced to my Bluetooth stereo in my car for hands free operation.  I can't be fumbling around with it while I'm driving.

3. I do not need or want a feature where I get to sample 30 second song clips.  I use Spotify because I know what I want to listen to and what I am looking for.  If I didn't know the song I wanted and was ignorant when it came to music I would use Pandora.

4. The new U.I. is ugly. Vomit green. I mean really?  Put it back the way it was!  Black was a nice touch for a facelift but the new green is just an eyesore.

5. In fact, just put the app back to the way it was when you 1st added the EQ and everything was stable.  The new updates are useless and have made the app bloated and unstable.

I am a Premium user and have been now for three years.  If Spotify can't get it right I'm not sure how long I will hold on.  Will be more tempted to just go back to buying music the old school way as I know then at least there won't be guessing games when it comes to it actually playing correctly. 

However, If someone can advise me how to get it working again this would be a major plus.

Good post. I had the same kind of issues with an earlier ipod touch. The problem is new ios combined with new Spotify apps. Has anyone experience of other Spotify apps (non official Spotify ones) especially on Apple products? I am now thinking of a 6th generation ipod touch mainly for Spotify (premium). Any problems to look out for?
