No option to listen to all songs of an artist

No option to listen to all songs of an artist

Why Is there no feature to see all songs from an artist on the Iphone app iOS? I am thinking of transferring from Apple Music to Spotify but this is the breaking point for me. I do not want to see a list of albums, I want a list of all songs that are sorted by popularity (most listened to on top). I saw one thread from 2019 about this issue, however there were no solutions. It should not be that hard to add this feature.

Hey @lanagav,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We appreciate the time you took to let us know your feedback. In general, the big green Play button should play the artist's entire discography. Generally, the app starts playing the 10 most popular songs of the artist, and then it'll continue playing the rest of their discography.

You can use the following workaround on the desktop app to play an artist's entire discography (even if they have a "This is" playlist):

  1. Go to the artist page of the artist you'd like to listen to.
  2. Click on their Discography, then switch to List view in the top right corner.
  3. Now play any song you want from the list - this will queue the rest of their discography as well. You can listen to it in order or in shuffle mode.

Now, we understand where you're coming from, and we think you can post your suggestion on our ideas board. Ideas is a board on which Spotify users can share their feedback in the form of suggestions, to improve the Spotify experience for everyone. I cant manage to do all things that I consider basic. Right now Im trying to make the app/site to select all Led Zeppelin's songs and play them in a random order, but as soon as I find the artist there is only 10 musics I can choose/hear. If I start perking around I find theirs albums and inside them there are tons of musics, that I can hear. Bu I cant make the app to pick ALL songs from ALL albums, throw them in a single list and play them. I think Im missing something utterly BASIC here, and after 3 days looking around I've decided to look for someone to point me the direction.

Id like to do that for all the artists I like to hear, Id like to be able to make a single list with ALL songs from ALL the artists I want, and make the app to play them, preferably in a random order.

I love how the response to this valid suggestion is “sorry, but we will continue with this suboptimal listener experience indefinitely because of [no conceivable reason at all]”
