Offline mode and streaming

I have some questions about data and offline mode.

1) what is the difference between offline mode switch within settings and choosing an album and toggleing the switch to make it "available offline?"  As an example, I have an album that has the availalble offline switch off, but all the songs appear to have been downloaded.  Perhaps I made the artist available offline?

2) If i am on a cellular connection and have the song saved for offline use, will the app stream the song using data or will it play it from the stored location saving the use of my data?

try switching the internet connection to off and see if it still plays, obviously switching wifi off too

I did figure out the first part of the question.  Now just wondering about the streaming portion and Cell data usage.  Again, if I have a song that I've downloaded for offline use, and I play it when I do have a cell signal, is it going to stream (using cell data) or will it play from memory (not using cell data)?
