Offline song library keeps re-syncing and my playlist count keeps decreasing

Offline song library keeps re-syncing and my playlist count keeps decreasing

I just upgraded to an iphone 7 plus with 256gb of space. When I try syncing my songs playlist the app keeps starting song downloads from scratch each time I restart the app. I also noticed the number of songs in my playlist keeps getting smaller.

I reinstalled the app and it's still the same problem.

Is this a known glitch with iOS 10? What can I do to resolve this issue? I can't listen to my music while in the subway. This wasn't an issue on my iphone 6.

That may be a problem with just the spotify aplication for iphone, i have had no problem downloading and playing back my music ofline, without it re syncing on android. You could send to spotify services and support to tell them about this problem.

Hi having the same issue on samsung s7 edge it downloads the song. Its not staying on the device. It keeps going to download the playlist. It really bad as if im not on wifi it wont download but it will stream and its chewing allot of data. Please help

What is with contact the community why cant i contact directly with spotify? We pay for this service.

I'm viewing this site on my phone so maybe I'm missing something but I'm under the impression that this is their only means of customer support. Hopefully one of their moderators will see this and respond.

Since someone is also experiencing this same problem on android it might be a simple setting that's off. Whatever it is, it's infuriating having this kinds of issue.

Hopefully I didn't end up with some broken beta version of the app. For some reason they keep pushing through these updates that my friends don't have yet then rolling them back a day later.

Just noticed that you have to keep the device unlocked or the downloads will stop after 2 minutes.

It'll take forever to finish since I have (had) about 2500 songs in my library. But just a heads for anyone wondering what's happening with their Spotify.

Was wondering if you had this issue solved? My phone will still do this every once in a while. I'll redownload. Then a month or even sometimes a week later it'll do the same glitch

This has been happening to me on and off for years now, it's so frusterating. I'll be heading to work and go to listen to my offline tracks on the drive just to find that everything is no longer downloaded. Sometimes I can go months without it happening, and then sometimes it happens every few days.

This may be totally wrong, but sometimes it seems to get triggered when I connect to some sort of public internet, like at Starbucks. Might just be a coincidence. All I know is every once and awhile I'll go online to look up a solution and threads going back to 2011 have been reporting this problem, it seems crazy that it is still an issue. I have done the full cache delete, redownload **bleep**, to no avail. Just wanted to vent haha.
