Paid for premium but still on free

Paid for premium but still on free

I paid for spotify premium using my master card and I got a text from them saying that I have paid to spotify, but when I logged on my account, it says I'm still on free. I tried to sign up for premium again hoping it might recognize that I already paid but what happened is that it didn't recognize that I already paid and so my balance was deducted AGAIN. I tried logging on and off again, and I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling spotify but it did nothing. This is so annoying because I paid for the premium TWICE and yet nothing happened. Can anyone please help?

Hey @user-removed,

 

If your account still shows as Free on the Subscription page, you can check the status of the charge on your bank statement. If the charges show as pending/pre-auth/processing, this might explain things: https://support.spotify.com/article/pending-charges/.

(Through iTunes, I was told this was why I couldn't purchase premium(Reworded by me))

 

The reason why you can't buy Spotify Premium with iTunes money is because there is an Intro Offer, in this case it's the 3 months for 0.99.

 

Spotify tweeted about this:
