Permanently disable group play

Permanently disable group play

Please help me permanently disable the group session option.

I teach in multiple classrooms on multiple speakers daily, and the new group session option is automatically applied.  Clearly Spotify never considered that perhaps people do not want their speaker to be accessible to all 40+ participants in a large group setting?  What a disaster.

I do not want participants to control *anything* in playback, and I do not want to have to remember to disable this feature every single time I change speakers.

Hey there @allahm

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community!

Keep in mind that Spotify is only for personal use. If you want to play in a business environment, you can take a look at this article.

On another note, it's currently not possible to permanently disable the Group session on a speaker. In this case, you'd need to manually turn that option off by clicking on the speaker in Now playing view > Others can start or join a Group Session on this speaker.

You can have a look in our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't one, you can give these steps a go and submit your idea so that other users can also support it. The higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.

The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea.
