According to sources the outage has been corrected however on my brand new iPhone 16 the still will not play. I turned the phone off and back on & cleared the cache.  The suggestion was to post here if the issue was not resolved

If you're still encountering this, I'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. It does include clearing cache and restarting your device, which you've already done, but deleting the app and re-downloading it usually helps in such situations and it will also ensure you're running the latest version. 

 

If the same behavior persists afterwards, you can also try logging out and back in a couple of times in a row to make sure everything's synced, as well as trying a different internet connection.
