Playing in the car

I am a new premium subscriber using my Ipad with no problems.

I want to play in the car and suppose I must download the program onto my IPhone and will then find that my recoded music is transferred. There is no Bluetooth on the car audio but there is an audio socket.

May I use the phone for this purpose while the vehicle is moving? Clearly I am not telephoning but i am using a phone! I presume I would not be entitled to make any tune choices or skips which would have to be done from the IPhone screen.

Can I use the Ipad which has no phone facility on it?
