Playlists, iPod Touch, and Spotify Connect

Weird problem here. Maybe someone can help?

The Setup:

I have an iPod Touch which I occasionally connect (directly via audio cable) to my stereo. Then I use an Android phone and Spotify Connect to control the iPod from the Android. All running the most recent version of the app. I have playlists with more than 100 songs in them. I've tried rebooting and restarting and all sorts of troubleshooting.

The Problem:

If I use the Android to tell the iPod to play a playlist from any of the first 101 songs in a playlist, it works fine.

If I use the Android to tell the iPod to play a playlist starting on any track after the 101st track, it will only play that one song and then loop back to the first track in the playlist. So, for example, I cannot use the Android to tell my iPod to play the last ten tracks, in order, on a 130-track playlist. If I tap track 120 to begin playlist playback there, it plays track 120 then cuts back to track 1.

Playlist playback on both devices works as expected in non-Connect circumstances.

What's going on here? It feels like a bug.
