[Playlists] shuffle play only on iOS while Premium

[Playlists] shuffle play only on iOS while Premium

User: Premium

Country: Finland

Device: iPhone Xs

OS: iOS 15.1


I am frustrated that I cannot select the songs in some of my playlists because there is only "shuffle play" available.
Although once I press play, I can turn off the shuffle button in the "now playing" window, the shuffle play remains the only option for the playlist, I cannot select a specific song from the list, and these are not the issue on my desktop app.


More info:
- It is not all the playlists.
- The font colours are grey (meaning I cannot select them) even when they're playing.
- One of the playlists did not have this issue after choosing "Enhance."
- Meanwhile, my desktop app works just fine with the same lists if I switch to it.

I could not easily find the answer I am looking for in the current posts.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

 

From what it's possible to see in the screenshots, it looks like you're having some issues with the app (maybe related to the internet connection or the current state of your app?).

 

Have you already tried double-checking the connection and (if all is good with it) running a clean reinstall of the app? This should do the trick.

After you hinted at the connection issue, I found the source of the problem.
It was Norton security and its VPN causing the problem. My mobile Spotify works alright after disabling the VPN.
