Podcast filter by unplayed

the filter in podcasts for showing only unplayed podcasts has gone missing. Where is this filter? 

and for the love of all that is good and holy please make it a persistent filter. I never want to see podcasts I’ve already listed to. When I turn the filter on leave it on. Please and thank you.

As a first step, can you please send us a screenshot of how the Sort and Filter menu looks on your end? Also, does this happen with all podcasts or just specific ones? How do things look when you're logged with a different account (from a friend or a relative)?

No such option in the web window- to get played unplayed

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info sent.

The sorting options and filters are not currently available in the Web Player. In this case, we'd recommend installing the desktop app to see if it has the same issue or not.

On the app, you can find the Filters next to the Sorting options on top of the episode list as highlighted in the screenshot below.

My Question or Issue

Please note that I have already tried a clean reinstall. When I sort by Unplayed episodes, only episodes that I have manually marked as played will be removed by the filter. Episodes that I have finished but haven't marked are still considered Unplayed, despite showing they have been played and have no time left

I am unable to filter my subscribed podcast list by latest releases even though I have the corresponding filtering option on. It worked fine for years. Now since two months it does not work anymore. Podcasts release episodes but the filter does not apply. When I remove the app and redownload, it works for a moment but not permanently. Just logging out/in does not work. Apple iOS 17.6.1, latest spotify version.
