Podcasts won’t play

My Question or Issue

Every time I try to listen to a podcast, I get the message, “Spotify can’t open this type of link on this device.” I just recently got a new iPod, and this problem has happened on both of these, and across many networks. I tried searching forums earlier to see if there were any solutions, but the one thread I found was unresolved.

Any ideas to what’s going on?
