Premium Membership - Local files won't play on iPhone

Hi everyone! I have a couple songs as MP3s that will play on my laptop through Spotify but not on my iPhone or iPad - they don't even appear in my playlists etc there... any work arounds on this?  I have all on my own wifi network, uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off downloads, turned it back on...

Hey @joudrea,

 

That's not cool! Could you try the following steps?

 

- Reinstall both devices.
- Follow the steps from the support article
- Make sure the app is open and active on both devices
- Ensure both devices connected to the same WiFi
- Check for any firewalls/antiviruses that could be affecting this
- Use a different WiFi connection
- Add the local files to a brand new playlist
- Check that your WiFi network allows broadcasting (you can check this in your router's manual)

I ended up finally getting it to work after uninstalling and reinstalling the program several times on our phones/ipads.  Certainly not an easy fix but finally we are able to play the songs!
