Problems Connecting on iPhone

For the last few weeks when I would open the spotify app I would get a message that I wasnt connected (even though I have full bars and am connected to wifi).  I would search my playlist and be able to play 1-2 songs before it would simply stop playing and I would have to close out of the app.  I tried to log in today using my husband's information and it wouldn't allow me to connect....I kept getting messages saying Login failed "could not establish a connection to the Spotify service.  Make sure your network connect is working and try again".  I tried multiple times, I tried logging back in using my log on information...same message.  I tried shutting the phone off then back on, tried removing the app then reinstalling, tried doing some weird country reset and then back to USA, tried turning all of my services off then back on, nothing is working.  I have full bars of service as well as being connected with full bars to my wifi.  What is the deal with Spotify lately?!  Can someone please help me figure this out??

 

side note---this NEVER happens on my husband's android.  maybe this is an iPhone issue?

Hi,

Please try forcing restart of your iPhone:

- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.

- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.

- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Another possible solution:

Your iPhone's Spotify labels say "username and password"

Although on the webinterface you can type your email and passwod, on the (iPhone) app it does not seem to work with email.

You have to enter - as the label says - your username and not your registered email.

This time I dont think it is user error (although a lot of times it is :))  I was entering my user name, not email, along with the password...I even went online on my computer to have the password reset (thinking that could possibly be the issue).  I have turned the phone completely off and back on, a hard shut down, but that didn't help.  I think this may actually be a bug or glitch (maybe with my phone itself and not the app)...either way it's a total pain in the butt.

I upgraded to an iPhone 7 and I'm unable to get into Spotify.  I'm trying to log in with my USER name (not my email) and my password.  I continue getting the error: Login Failed. Could not establish a connection to the Spotify service. Make sure your network connection is working and try again. 

 

But I am connected to the network, I can make everything work but Spotify.  I can get in online, but not on the iPhone.  I've done 5 hard resets.  I've deleted the app three times and reinstalled, but still can't get on.  

 

I'm beyond frustrated I've been trying for two days to get into my account. What can I do that I haven't tried already?  Signed. Frustrated.  😞
