Radio stuck on loading symbol - ios 5.1.1

Solved!

Radio stuck on loading symbol - ios 5.1.1

The spotify radio will not load on my iphone 4s running 5.1.1 nor will it give me the chance to search within the Radio tab of the app.  I'm running on AT&T 4G

I have tried with no success:
Launch radio from playlist

Launch radio from single song

Close all background apps

Re-install on the iphone

Hard Reset of the iphone

The app will play my playlists and other search music with no problem but the Radio just doesn't want to get passed the loading screen.  The radio works fine on my wife's iphone.

Hey Everyone, I've found a solution for my phone.

Again, I am on an iPhone 4s running 4G.

What I had to do was restore the iphone.  I restored it as a "new" phone, not from backup.  Re-downloaded Spotify and it's updates and I was good to go.  I know have the fully functional radio over cellular and wifi.

Hope this works for you as well!

Glad it worked for you... kinda hoping for a solution that does not require restoring the phone. Seems a bit excessive.  Until then, I will just listen to Pandora if I want radio features.

I've also been having the same problem. When I click on radio its just a spinning circle. I've tried reinstalling and all of that with no avail.

Im running IOS 6 beta 2 also.

If anyone has a solution let me know.Smiley Mad

I'm also having this problem. I have tried all of the above except restoring my iPhone, that is a step we should not have to take. Where's a proper fix?

Any update? I recently switched from MOG to Spotify but am second guessing my decision. I'm having the same issue over 3G.

Spotify Radio issue

Spotify support emailed me and said to try to change your password. I tried twice but it didn't work for me Smiley Sad . I figured I'd pass it on in case this info helps somebody.

Has anyone tryed to just delete the app and then reinstall without restarting? I did that and mine is still working.

Thanks. I did end up doing this after my post and I believe it worked. I'll need to test it again when I'm out and about.

The radio is still not loading on my iPhone (iOS 5.1.1). I have tried all your suggestions. Please let me know how I can fix this.

Same issue here...radio feature just spins while on 3G (I'm running iOS 5.1.1) but comes up instantly if I power on my MiFi and connect to that.

Oh, and that is not a solution - I agree.

I am having this issue as well. Tried reinstalling app and change account password. Radio still only works on WiFi not cellular connection. PLEASE FIX!

Updated to the new version of spotify this morning, still getting the infinite spinning wheel when trying to use the radio over 3G, works fine over wifi. iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1

It worked. Once.

Still doesnt work with todays new version.

Same issue here. Wifi is good, but no luck with 3G.

It's not working for me either - 3G or Wifi, any word from spotify on this?

I'm on 5.0.1, so the 'solution' is not a solution at all.

I did contact Spotify about this problem. They suggested multiple fixes, none of which worked for me. They told me to turn the quality of my stream down (its already at the lowest setting) and suggesting turning off Sync over 3G (or turning it on if I had it off, they suggested both). That didn't work. Then they suggested getting rid of any cache clearing or app killing applications I may have (I don't have any) and that I upgrade to the latest version of ios and the Spotify app (which I had already done) and lastly that I contact my network provider about the issue (which I found strange that my network provider - ATT - would be blocking Spotify when Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora all work fine. I'm not sure they have any real idea what the issue is. It is frustrting that I pay for a subscription for Spotify and can't access all of the features. I know this doesn't add to this thread at all, but it does make me feel better getting to vent and commiserate a little.

@Maisaj

Ah, but your comment does help!  The fact that you state that you are a paying subscriber is a big help to those of us who were wondering whether by paying for the subscription we'd have a better chance of receiving the broadcast.

Now that you made it clear that even paying subscribers are not getting the feed, I know I must wait until the problem is solved before I even start thinking about buying a buscription!

Hey guys,

are any of you roaming outside the a "supported" Spotify country? I'm a US customer currently in Canada for work. I'm wondering if that's part of the issue.
