Spotify won't play when resume on Airpods Pro

I'm having the exact same issue now, did you end up finding a solution to this problem? I have even tried replacing the airpods and it still does the same thing.

I tried to reproduce this on my end using my AirPods Pro, and everything works perfectly. Could you try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app following these steps?

If that doesn't help, let me know the make and model of your device as well as the software version. You can also attach a screen recording of what’s happening exactly and I’ll take a closer look for you.
