Repeats same songs even on shuffle

I use the iPhone 6 and the premium spotify app. This what happens. I get in the car and it automatically connects to bluetooth media (okay). The Spotify app begins (okay). I hit shuffle play for ANY playlist, ANY album, ANY artist. I drive 15 mins to work and listen to how many ever songs and everything is great. I get out and go to work and reenter my car. It connects and begins with the same song it left on (okay). HERE IS THE PROBLEM. It then repeats playing the same songs I listened to on the car ride over. Same if I were to shuffle play a new playlist and drive to the grocery store and listen to 4 songs. I get back in the car and the same 4 songs play. I have to open the app and hit shuffle play every time I get in the car.

I have the exact same problem. Started happening at least6 months ago, may have been after an iOS update or Spotify app update

It's super annoying. I've tried a lot and nothing works. My girlfriend has
a Galaxy S8 and hers works fine. She never has to reshuffle. If you're
right I hope this gets fixed soon.
