Hello Everyone
For the last two months I have had playlists that I have downloaded to my iPhone randomly disappear. This is how it goes:
1. Open Spotify
2. See that it requests I re-login
3. Login
4. All playlists are still saved, but all downloaded content needs to be re-downloaded
Any ideas?
Has this not happened to anyone?
Spotify needs to connect to the internet at least once every 30 days to maintain any offline music settings. Is it possible you've kept Spotify offline for longer than that?
Also, I'm not 100% certain, but I think that if you sign out of Spotify it deletes the local caches which includes downloaded files. Maybe someone else can verify that.
Hi,
Thanks for your response. I have spotify open and online all the time, it connects to the internet all day long.
Would it be related to an update?
I have exactly the same problem as yours. It started about a month ago on my first iPhone and it started also on my second iPhone today.
Well, I'm sorry that you are having the same problem, but at least now I know that I'm not crazy.
Are you on a family account? Do you have any thoughts on why this is happening to you?
So, it just happened again. I checked, and there had been no updates to the Spotify app that might have caused the wipe. The phone had also been connected to the internet this morning. I turned it off, and then when I turned it back on, all the Spotify music on the phone had been wiped.
There was also plenty of space on the phone left, maybe 10-20 GB, so I don't believe that is the problem. Is no one from Spotify monitoring these forums? How can I contact them directly?
