My Question or Issue

Quality of the playback on homepod is abysmal. With a very strong network signal and premium gear, there are constant short pops, distortion, volume drops and delays.

 

It’s like the app is not buffering leaving everything to realtime processing or a bad compression algorithm, even though quality is at max settings.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

When did this start happening? Did it work as expected up to a certain point? If you haven't already, try disconnecting and reconnecting the devices and network. Also be aware of this thread. While the issue is different from what you have, there's various network troubleshooting steps that have been suggested in there and it's worth trying in your case too.
