My Question or Issue

Hi, when I was listening to a playlist, I used to be able to tap the three โ€ฆ menu within the playlist and select a sleep timer option. Sleep timer has completely disappeared from that menu. I have tried making the playlist public, private. I have tried logging out and in again numerous time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a couple times and the option is just gone. Is it coming back? Iโ€™m attaching a photo of the options I see in the โ€ฆ menu.

thanks in advance!

Hi there @bubblemonkey! Thanks for your question and welcome to the Community! ๐Ÿ™‚

Spotify often tests new features and improvements, so you might see something in the app that your friend doesnโ€™t, or get to try a new feature temporarily. You can read more about it here.

Hope this helps clear things up

Ok, well I hope Spotify makes the sleep timer a permanent feature. I liked to fall asleep to music.

Hello @bubblemonkey and @MateusMonkey : I too find the Sleep Timer missing, but on the Android and Windows platforms. A search of the Internet seems to suggest this feature at least once was available back in 2022.

This is my first time trying to find this feature as it would be nice to fall asleep to a playlist without having it keep playing after X amount of minutes. I hope to find this feature available one day...

Yes, I know I used the sleep timer just in the past few weeks and then suddenly it was gone. I really wish it would come back.

I have used the Spotify sleep timer with songs for years. It magically disappeared.

Hey there @Loriedwards2,

Thanks for posting here and welcome.

In this case, for starters, we'd like to add some insights. Keep in mind that the sleep timer is visible in the Now Playing View just when listening to podcasts:

For songs, it's necessary for you to go to the Now Playing view three-dot menu at the top. There, by scrolling down, you'll find the timer:

Just to confirm, are you having issues with finding this feature? If yes, we'd suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.

If this should persist afterwards, please send us:

  • The make/model and OS of the affected device.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running there.
  • A screenshot of what you see when going to the three-dot menu on the Now Playing view.

Keep us in the loop!

Hi, the timer disapear when you "cast" ! The login aproach do not help!

Hi there @Rexton66,

I'm afraid that this is expected, since you're technically listening on another device when casting. Still, here's a live idea about being able to set the Sleep timer even when using Spotify Connect which I think you'll find interesting, so feel free to check it out and show your support!

The Community is just a post away if there's anything else we can assist with.

Cheers ๐Ÿค˜

Thanks, that was the issue for me. I was playing the music on an external speaker. When I reverted to playing it on my phone, the sleep timer showed up.
