Song stops after 1 minute - Problem fixed with a hard restart!

Song stops after 1 minute - Problem fixed with a hard restart!

I had a problem with my songs stopping a little after 1 minute - below are all the things I tried if you are experiencing the same thing - However, I solved my own problem with giving the phone a hard restart & the app works fine now. Hope it continues.

 

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. hit play on a song that is 4:33

2. it stopped at 1:26, the pause button still showing

3. i tapped the pause button, app showed play

4. i tapped the play button, app showed pause, still not playing

5. i scrubbed a few seconds, it started playing again

6. the song ended, it did not go to the next song on the playlist

7. i went back to my playlist to tap another song

8. app did not play this song, there is no scrubber to even attempt to play the song

9. close app - repeat

 

10. i even deleted the app, re-installed it and it did it all over again & a clean installation didn't fix the problem

  

What I expected to happen

i expected to play a song and have it play 😉

 

What actually happened

the app decided to stop the song & not play anything else

this EXACT thing happens to me too! Sooooo annoying! 

And maybe this is a stupid question, but what do you mean with a "hard restart"? is that when you press and hold both home button and "lock" button?

Yes, exactly. Just reboot the whole device. I also read where it only worked for someone else after they completely deleted the app & downloaded again, so you might have to do that? Not sure - hope it works!

Restarting the phone can solve play problems like this on iPhone, a reinstall isn't always necessary.

 

In fact, we actually recommend a restart as part of the uninstall/reinstall procedure.
