My Question or Issue

I have around 50 songs in my playlist yet Spotify still plays “suggested songs” and it’s honestly worth switching music platforms for.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Check if you have Autoplay toggled on in the app's Settings > Playback. The feature automatically generates a new queue with similar songs when your playlist ends so that the music keeps going.

If you also use Spotify on your PC, you might have had some leftover tracks in the queue from a previous listening session. You can remove those with the Clear queue button via the desktop app / Web Player.

Recently I've no longer been able to just use shuffle on spotify, now they only allow Free accounts to have "smart shuffle" or whatever, where they force you to listen to "suggested songs" based on your playlist. This is a feature separate from the Playback commented by Yordan, that can be disabled.

It's a ridiculous and completely unnecessary feature that I hope they undo, because it's seriously annoying and makes me use my Spotify playlists less and less. Some other apps may also have ads, but at least I can listen what I chose to listen.
