Spotify can't play on my I-pod touch

I am unable to listen to my songs on my I-Pod. Is there a 1,2,3 format to accomplish this? It also won't sync when I connect to my computer via USB cable as advertised. Is there a n additional step like a sync button?

Content doesn't sync over your USB cable. It syncs over the internet directly from Spotify's servers. Make sure that you are online with Spotify in your iPod touch, set some playlists as available offline, and they will start to sync.
