My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps pausing songs when they're playing - which is really annoying. I've logged in and out of the app, I've deinstalled and reinstalled the app from the app store and nothing makes any difference. Sometimes it can be every 5/10 seconds. I've also tried turning WIFI off and playing with mobile data but also have the same issue. Getting really frustrated so would appreciate some help!

Hi there Eni,

I have not lost control of my account and nothing strange is going on with my account other than the songs keep pausing and it feels like The more I turn it on the faster it turns off and it’s almost like a tug-of-war like someone else is trying to listen on the other end. I have a family account so I can have up to six users on a premium account. I only have two other people using the account so I’m not maximizing any of it.  Everything I’ve read has not answered my issue. Please help me understand what’s going on and please help me fix it. Premium family accounts are not cheap and this is quite aggravating. I hope to get a resolution soon.
thanks. SS.

Hey there @yevOl2u6gdczk5cq4j41

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

Based on what you mentioned, it's possible that someone else is using your account. Keep in mind that in Premium Family plans, each member needs to have their own account and use that.

In this case, we suggest that all users in the plan log out from their account and log back in making sure they're using the right log in info. This is important since if two or more users log in accidentally to the same account they'll experience interruptions and a mix-up of their info.

If your account is linked to any external device, you'd also need to head to your Account page and under Apps remove any you don't use/recognize. You can find out more tips on how to protect your account here.

Let us know how it goes.
