Spotify keeps "resetting" or forgetting my recently played

I used to be able to listen to a playlist on my Spotify app, and then continue listening to it the next day. Recently it seems as if Spotify will "forget" withtin a couple of hours, and I have to start the playlist from the start, instead being able to pick up from where I last stopped listening. 

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to fix it?
