My Question or Issue

Please don't judge, but I keep an iPod Touch because I am an artist and I have too many photos, videos, and music, plus audiobooks and podcasts to have everything on one device.  (I know the iPods are done, but I will use for as long as I am able).

Anyway, I only use Spotify for my podcasts because I can download in the free version and make playlists of my favorites to refer back to.  Yesterday, the app was working, but today I tried to open it to check on new episodes and as soon as the app opens, it crashes and shuts down.  I have already tried:

1. Rebooted my device multiple times

2. Deleted the app multiple times (and rebooting before reinstalling), but it isn't deleting the data because when I reinstall and open, my account and my podcasts are all there (for the two seconds I can see the home screen).

3. Changed my Spotify password on another devise to see if I could get it to let me in before it crashes but it didn't work.

4. Looked for way to clear the cache or data just for Spotify, but the option isn't available for this app

This isn't the first issue I have had with Spotify.  The last time (different issue) I tried Spotify's customer service it was SIX hours and NINE reps (because they kept passing me off and two of them didn't know how the app worked) only to be told that they needed to completely cancel my account and I had to start from scratch.  I do not have the bandwidth for that right now.

I am at my wits end and can go back to using Apple for podcasts, but cannot create playlists there, which is also annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I open the Spotify app on my iPod and it crashes after like 15-20 seconds it didn’t do this before

Same Issue for me. Even went as far as to factory reset my Ipod and still did not fix the issue.  Running iOS 15.8.3

I did notice that the app stays open when I am not signed in, but as soon as I sign in, the app crashes

I'm having the exact same issue, this is driving me crazy.

I’m having the same issue on iPod as well

I'm having the same issues.  It was fine on Wednesday and Thursday is when it started acting up.  I've tried restarts, updating the software on the Ipod and reinstalling the app.  Nothing works.

Spotify works totally fine on my android.

I’m having the exact same issue on my iPod touch and this is the first time that it happened tonight and nobody’s been able to figure out what’s going on I have tried everything to get it to work

As of Monday Morning 8/19, it appears to be fixed for me

iOS 15.8.3

Multiple times I've deleted the app to lose some of the data size the app collects over time. Not much memory on this ipad.  Re-install app from previous purchase and all would be good. Now it will not go past the log in. Constant error message of the name and password not being correct. The desktop version was fine . After multiple attempts Spotify Bot reset the password. Desktop resumed and is fine. Ipad is still refusing either with name or email. The OS will not allow login with facebook, Even trying to make new account it will not allow. The app store download of previous version goes as always. I have cleared the cache multiple times.
