Spotify won't recognize wifi

Spotify won't recognize wifi

I am a Premium subsciber and recently spotify can not recognize I am online on my iphone5. I have an execllent signal with no browsing issues, I have logged out and back in and have powered off and back on my phone. I I also uninstalled and reinstalled app on phone. This has been going on for 3 days, very frustrating. Sometimes it tells me I need to go online sometimes it just tries connecting for an hour. Not worth the money at all at this point. Any help? Thanks

Hi, have you been able to try this over any other WiFi networks? Wondering if there might be some sort of firewall or other network issue at play here.

Have you accidentally turned off data for Spotify? You can check it in Settings - Spotify - Use Cellular Data. Check if that is toggled on or not. If not, please turn it on

This has also just started happening to me too after the last update to Spotify on my iPhone 5. I sure hope there is a fix for this soon, i hate to burn through all my data to make a few playlists available offline. I know it isnt the Wi-Fi connection since this happens on multiple networks.

I've been having the same problem!! Drove me crazy. Uninstalled and the re-installed the app...triple-checked the wifi settings, the firewall settings...after all that, still having the same issue. The app was forcing me into Offline Mode when I would open it. The only FIX I have found is actually manually selecting Offline Mode in the Settings, then trying to play a track, and choosing to go Online. This somehow properly forces the app into Online Mode. PLEASE SPOTIFY, FIX THIS BUG!!!!! It's effecting me, my friends, and co-workers as well!

This allows you to play music from your library but you can't connect to the browse home search or radio sections of the app still

Same problem here.. Got 6.8.3786 and it will not connect with WiFi.

Sometimes it works when you switch from WiFi to 3G and back to WiFi.

Please fix this bug!

I'm a Premium subscriber on iOS Spotify app version 6.8.0.3786 and iOS 10.2 (14C92) on Model MG4X2LL/A and I have the same problem. Spotify app doesn't connect on WiFi but works fine on AT&T LTE network.
