Syncing Offline Playlists to iPhone

Hi.

I have googled this and I cannot find an answer. If I 'sync' all my playlists (they are all marked for offline on my pc and iPhone) when Spotify desktop is open should Spotify send the songs across WiFi or is the iPhone app still downloading via the internet?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

Tracks from the Spotify catalogue will be downloaded using your phones internet connection (whether it is mobile network or in your case WiFi) onto your device. 

Local tracks which are stored on your PC will be sent to your device directly accross the WiFi connection from PC to iPhone.

Once you have synced those tracks for offline usage on both devices, neither will use any internet as they will be able to play the tracks locally.

Understood but it means I am downloading twice, in theory it would be in Spotifys intrest to sync offline songs locally.
