The sleep timer stopped working for podcasts.

The sleep timer stopped working for podcasts.

The sleep timer used to work perfectly but for a few months now I will set the timer for the 'end of episode' and it will just keep playing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app (per googles advice) and that has not solved the issue.

On an unrelated note, I also can't see what is playing on my iphones screen when I lock it. I have to unlock my phone and open the app to skip a song or pause/stop playing something. It's really annoying. I pay for premium and it shouldn't be this difficult to listen to my podcasts and music.

Both of the issues are commonly related to some damaged cache stored on your device. We understand you've already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?

 

If so and the issue persists, it would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.

 

Lastly, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

I have done a clean re-install and had a friend log into their account on my phone and it did not work on theirs either.

I currently have version 8.8.30.499 of Spotify and I have an iPhone 13, model: MLN13LL/A and IOS version 16.3.1
