I agree. I'm not going to individually add all these songs. I'm using a PC, and I'm a premium user, and I see no way to automatically add the entire playlist to the "My Music" section. It's going to take me hours to add all the songs individually, even if I do it by album. It's really confusing and I like to listen to my entire Library at once rather than individual playlists all the time, but now the library is gone and the "songs" is empty besides the few songs I added from "starred" before realizing it was going to take forever to add them all. There must be an easier way to do this, right? Also, can local files not be added into the "Your Songs" section? I have a lot of local files that I like to be mixed in with my added files.
EDIT: Sorry, this probably isn't helpful since this is about PC users (I'm still figuring out these forums so I didn't realize this was phone only) but you can drag your entire starred playlist into the my music on the computer. I don't know if that works on the phone or not. Better than individually clicking everything.
Still annoyed that there's no way to filter things, though. I guess that's by clicking "Artist" or "Album" but I don't know, still kinda weird.
Also keep in mind that there is a 10,000 track limitation on the new My Music feature. So even if you did move them all over by hand, you couldn't do this if, as you state, you have more than 10,000 starred tracks. It'll stop working at that number, and of course you also can't add any new discoveries going forward.
But that's just the start of the problems with the deprecation of Starred and the introduction of My Music. For example, you can no longer see which tracks in a list are in your library. And while the best thing to do when you found a user with good taste was to subscribe to their Starred playlist, this is no longer possible with My Music. So Spotify also decided to eliminate half of the social features. Brilliant all around, it feels like this change hasn't been given 5 minutes of thought or consideration before it was being rolled out.
Can someone help me understand this?
When "Your Music" came in, my Starred playlist appeared in the Playlists section.
Yours isn't doing that?.
Don't get me wrong - I hate the "Your Music" implementation for reasons I have stated elsewhere but this doesn't seem to be an issue for me.
I think it shows up as a regular playlist for everyone, but the question is rather about migrating the tracks from there to Your Music. The Starred feature has to be considered more or less deprecated, and is mostly like any other playlist now. You're supposed to be using Your Music for the same purposes now, so I can understand the wish to copy over previously starred tracks (so that you don't have to always check 2 different sections to find all your favourite tracks).
Again, I'm not understanding what you are saying:
On the iphone, the Starred playlist is moved to the Playlists section automatically.
Are people seeing something different?
The starred playlist is there, but people want to copy the contents of the playlist over to the Your Music section, without having to go through the starred playlist and adding every single track manually. Apparently, you can do this by dragging the playlist over to Your Music on the desktop client, but not in web or mobile players.
So that the songs in the Starred playlist appears in the "Songs" section of Your Music? Ok, I kind of see what you are saying. i guess if you wanted to include those songs when you shuffle the "Songs" section that would be helpful.
Thanks for the clarification.
This is a huge issue for me as well. I just need a migrate app that would allow for all of the "starred" tracks to be added to My Music in one foul swoop.

Thanks for the hack briaanax! It's obvious now that you mention it, but I didn't even occur to me.
Thanks!
