For those of you having trouble connecting Spotify to Sync Appllications on new Ford vehicles you will need to turn off Carpay in the iPhone settings. 

You can do this by gong to Settings>General>Restricitions and set Carplay to OFF. 

Once I did this I was able to conect Spotify to Applink. Also all the Spotify comands worked on my 2014 Fiesta

Please remeber to connect via bluetooth and plug in the lighting lead first, then open the Spotify app. Once you have done this the radio will either reconise spotify automaticaly or you will need to go to the Mobile applications menu and add spotify.
