Why does Spotify automatically change playlists after commercials?

I'll be listening to one of my playlists, a couple of commercials will play, and then one of Spotify's curated playlists will start playing. It's NOT music I want to be listening to. It's especially frustrating when I'm working out. The last thing I want is to go from metal music to a darn Robbie Williams pop song. What the heck is going on?!?

Same here. Just started happening in the last few weeks. I have the 5S, and recently updated to latest version of iOS. I had also uninstalled then reinstalled the Spotify app on my phone before I started noticing it. Now I have the Start feature displayed in my main menu drop down (between Browse and Search I think), which I never had before. After the advertisement plays on the playlist that I select, that's when it switches over to the curated playlists, which coincide with whatever time of day it is (e.g., Mid Morning, Mid Afternoon, Home from Work, etc...).

Very annoying. Now listening to iTunes Radio, which has some decent playlists/stations.

I am having exactly the same problem. Ive tried just cycling through my playlists so it forgets about the generic playlists in the queue...sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The problem is free users dont have any access to the queue so I don't know how to clear it of the junk playlists spotify has
