all tracks desynchronize when i shut down the phone

all tracks desynchronize when i shut down the phone

Hello,

I've been having a problem lately, every time i shut down the phone (or the phone dies because of zero battery) all my offline playlist get desynchronized and i am logged out of spotify.

I travel a lot and sometimes i don't have a 3G internet connection all the time and when this happes and i can't listen to any of my music, this is a big inconvenience... also having to download and resync all the music takes a long time.

i am using version 1.5.0.2728 of spotify

iphone 4

iOS version: 7.1.2 (11D257)

please help

Hello! Welcome the Spotify Community!

How much free space your phone has?

You can check it on Settings > General > Usage.

It's recommended that you have at least 1GB of free storage. When you're running out of space, iOS cleans the apps and, in Spotify's case, deletes the synced songs. This "cleaning" usually happens when the phone was off and is powered back on.

Something like this appears when the system is clearing the apps (look at the brown icon with a star, on the third row, beside the App Store):

this doesnt seem to be the problem. i still have about 5 Gb of free space in my phone and i don't think i have ever seen the star icon in my phone.

Hello @sdrmike

Pertaining your issue, that seems like it shouldn't happen given what you’ve described (I've tried on my end and it works perfectly fine), I guess your music cache is corrupted, kindly do a clean reinstallation following the steps below:

Click into your Spotify App -> Logout from Spotify (Spotify app Settings -> Logout) -> [If you are on premium and have songs that are on available offline, click here: https://www.spotify.com/sg-en/account/offline-devices/ and remove all devices -> Go to iPhone Settings, General, Usage and Delete the app -> Go to App Store and download the Spotify app again.

Also clear off Safari’s Cache under iPhone/iPad Settings > Safari and Clear all of the caches.
