Can play spotify music on ipad and mac workbook, however cannot play on iphone 5.

Tells me only available online, when i hit play online it asks me to upgrade which i have already.

It sound like trying to uninstall and then reinstalling may help you. Here is a good link on how to do a  clean install if you needed help with that. I hope that works for you.

If you are tyring to use more than one device at a time, regardless of Offline mode, you can only use one unless you upgrade.
