My Question or Issue

for about a year i’ve had spotify downloaded on my old ipad. i recently decided to download it on my phone as well. the issue is when i go to see my playlists on my phone, they are stuck on shuffle and i can’t select, rewind, or fast forward songs. this is also true with albums or artists. however, it’s always looked fine on my ipad. when i use spotify connect (when it says i’m playing from the ipad on my phone), the interface on my phone looks normal like it always has on the ipad.

i tried signing out on all my devices, restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, making another account, everything i could find. i’ve been using spotify for years and i’d hate to have to start over on a different platform. help!!

photos are the phone interface normally, ipad interface, and “spotify connect” interface from my phone.

Hi @25314123!

The Spotify experience on tablets for free users differs from that of the mobile app thanks to the included support for on-demand listening. This is why you can pick and play any song you want via your iPad, but not from your iPhone, where you'll need Premium in order to be able to do so.

More info on what's different about the Spotify experience on mobile for free users here.

Hope this clears things up. Cheers!
