how to load spotify directly to iPod Touch, version 5

how to load spotify directly to iPod Touch, version 5

I prefer dedicated devices and am not too swift at this stuff. I have an older iPod Touch, generation 5. I researched to see that I have to download Spotify's mobile app "to listen to local tracks." I don't know what local tracks means. My iPod is pretty full of my music and some podcasts, but Spotify would use a cloud system, right? I've got 702 MB available out of a 12.6 GB capacity but could free up space if necessary.

1. Must I first load Spotify onto my laptop? (a Mac) or

2. Can I restrict Spotify to my iPod Touch, which is what I want to do. I would get a bluetooth speaker somewhere.

3. How do I do proceed? Willing to pay the $10 / month or whatever.

Hello!

Local tracks typically refer to the songs that you already own in your Apple Music app. In order to listen to these songs through Spotify, you have to download the app. If you're a premium member of Spotify, you can download as many songs as you like to offline listening, and listen on the go without needing mobile data, as you mentioned you have an iPod Touch.

You do not have to download Spotify for your Mac, however this is great to do in case you want to do any listening on your computer. You can continue using Spotify's great services by just using it on your iPod Touch, and I would suggest you get Spotify Premium for the low cost of $9.99 per month.

Happy listening!
