My Question or Issue

I am unable to play songs from an artist on their artist page (their top songs) if I’ve saved any of their songs to the library. As soon as I click a song, the current song stops playing and the playback banner just disappears. The first screenshot I’m playing a song that I have saved in my library. The second screenshot is right after I’ve clicked on a song from the same artist.

Hey there folks,

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, does this only happen when you have saved songs from that specific artist in your Liked songs playlist? Also, @nehoyminoy, could you try @JLove19's suggestion and disable Shuffle to see if that does the trick for you too?

On another note, we'd recommend logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row. We know this sounds odd, but it helps trigger a sync between your account and device. If this doesn't make any difference, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Additionally, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your devices would come in handy.

We'll be on the lookout.

I am having the same issue. Turning off shuffle play seems to be a quick fix until they patch it.

@JLove19’s solution did work for me. And logging in twice seems to solve the issue. This only happens if I’ve saved an artists top songs in my library, then try to play it from their artist page.
