iPad + spotify + chromecast

iPad + spotify + chromecast

Hello

I just bought an iPad Air and immediately installed Spotify. 

Previously, I was used to play music to my google chromecast from an android tablet, and I never experienced any problem. 

Now, spotify on my new iPad works fine, it does play music, however when it si connected to chromecast it does not allow any forward/skip to next song. For example, when I try to swipe to next song, nothing happens, the icon of the "volume off" appars on the iPad display, and I am obliged to continue to listen to the same song until it ends, when the next one starts automatically from the queue. 

I have a spotify premium accont.

is there any way to resolve this pretty annoying issue?

We're sorry to hear that you're having difficulties with your iPad Air on Chromecast. Rest assured, we're here to help.

 

Could you let us know:

 

  • The iOS version on the device
  • The version of Spotify
  • The version of Chromecast

To check, does your other device (the Android) still work perfectly fine via Chromecast? We'd recommend checking the Chromecast for updates at this stage.

 

Keep us posted, we'll see what else we can suggest.

thanks for the response.

iOS version is the latest one 10.3.2, I bought the new iPad three days ago.

Spotify si the latest one 8.4.3.884

Chromecast version is the last one 1.24.88007

 

the other device (android) works perfectly.
