iphone link stuck on App Store page

Hi, I know this problem has existed for others but I can’t seem to figure it out. I have restarted my phone, updated my iPhone software, and reninstalled the Spotify app.

when I click on a link that a friend has sent to a song/playlist, it takes me to a webpage, and when I click “play on Spotify” it prompts “open App Store” And then I have to click “open” at the App Store page after which it redirects to my Spotify but loses the link.

Spotify version is 8.5.0.833. Anything I missed? Thank you for your help!
