podcast notifications don't work

I set notifications for new podcast episodes, but I never get any notifications

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

In Spotify, you have the option to choose what notifications to receive as a push notification, as an email, or not to receive it at all. In this case, we'd first recommend checking your notification settings on your Account page to see if the section "Music & Artist Recommendations" is allowed to be notified.

Also, make sure you've got the notifications for that specific show active as well:

1. Go to the podcast show page.
2. Tap Follow.
3. Switch Get notified of new episodes on.

In case the issue persists after this, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

My Question or Issue

Certain podcasts in my subscriptions AND have had notifications on WITH new episode push notifications turned on are not notifying when the new episode drops. I know spotify is usually one of "the good ones" but I would hate to find out someone in the ranks is purposely doing this to political news podcasts.... it wouldn't be good for the stock or the company.  Please route out this issue and address the **bleep** in the armor please.
