premium trial - looking for way to download audible books without disturbing spotify playlists

Solved!

premium trial - looking for way to download audible books without disturbing spotify playlists

Hi,

I am just trialing the premium package and are looking for a way to still be able to download audible books into my itunes library without disturbing spotify play lists.  I currently have spotify downloaded on my laptop and havent sunk it onto my iphone5 yet.  I also have a ipad and a ipod and was wondering if between these devices I could have the best of both worlds - get audible books still which I could put onto a seperate device to where my spotify playlists are say my ipod and have my iphone for syncing my playlist library from spotify on - is it possible?

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Yup, as Spotify and iTunes are separate, you can sync things to iTunes and it won't cause any issues with Spotify. Please note that if your iPod is a non touch (i.e. nano/shuffle etc.), it can't sync Spotify playlists, only offline files, so I would suggest using that for your audiobooks and your iPhone/iPad for your Spotify tracks. Also note that you can only sync Spotify on up to 3 devices at any one time.

Hi

Thanks very much for your answer that made sense thanks.

Can you please tell me where do you sort your songs/playlist that you accumulate from spotify.  when i find songs I like i go at to new playlist but are hoping to group the songs eg. more chilled out in one list and more upbeat in another etc.. do you do that once you have sunk them into itunes or in spotify as you select them?

Also ive signed up for the premium trial - if you sink a whole lot of songs to itunes from spotify and down the track decide that you dont want to keep paying for the premium service and cancel it - do you lose all the songs you have downloaded onto itunes?

thanks for your help and knowlege!

regards
