"Browse" mode on iPad can't connect - "an error occurred"

"Browse" mode on iPad can't connect - "an error occurred"

Recently, after nothing with my devices or account changed, the browse section no longer works on my iPad. All other sections of the app work fine. The app also works fine on my iPhone. iPad and iPhone are still running iOS8 and newest version of spotify. 

 

I have tried restarting, hard restart, uninstall/reinstall app, made sure I'm not in offline mode (free account so I don't think I can do this anyway). Nothing has worked so far...

 

Regarding information ion found in similar posts, my Facebook account is not linked so that is not causing issues. Also the screen briefly says "you're offline" before changing to the error message shown in the photo. I am definitely not offline and can't even activists this mode when I try to since I don't have a premium account. 

 

Please help if you have a solution or are experiencing a similar issue.

Hey @Kjlevy, sorry you're having this issue! Are you able to test connecting to another wifi network to see if this resolves the issue? Are you possibly able to test connecting to a hotspot on your iPhone to see if that helps?

I connected to my phone as a wireless hotspot and it's still the same. I also updated my iPad to ios10 and that has not made any difference either. At this point I think it is probably a bug in the app...

I made a topic in issue section, i hope we will get answers soon.

Hey guys, if you're still having this issue, can you please post back and let us know when it started happening, and are you able to confirm when it started happening roughly? If you can test logging into another account as well and seeing if Browse works there, that would be awesome.
