share playlist in de family account

share playlist in de family account

We have now a family account. We want to put our playlists from our normal account to the family account. How is that possible?

Hi!

That's easy, 5 steps.

1. Create new folder on desktop, will make life a LOT easier for this.

2. Open Spotify in the name of the person who's got the files you want to transfer.

3. Click on the playlists and drag them into the folder you just created. They might well come up looking like shortcuts to your Internet browser, ignore that.  They ARE kinda, because the playlists are stored online - if you double-click on one, it'll take you to online Spotify and come up as a playlist in that.  You can do that to check you've dragged the right thing if you want.

4. Change users to the one you want to give the playlists to, in other words, log out and log back in as the 'new user'.

5. Drag playlists, individually, from folder to New Playlist in the new a/c. That will put the playlists in the new account.

Any problems with that, just ask!

Chris.

Each family member has to have a separate username and password.

The account that pays then links the other family members to the plan through the Spotify website.

More detailed instructions can be found on the FAQ:

Once you're set. Each member will be able to listen to music at the same time, and will have separate libraries, playlists and friends. Add yourselves as friends and you'll be able to share music and playlists between you.
