1 month free premium offer

If it's supposed to be free for 1 month then why is spotify trying to charge my card $1.01? That's not free. And what happened to not charging my card until the one month is over? False advertisement.

When you sign up for a free trial, you may notice an authorization charge for a small amount on your account. This is Spotify’s way of verifying the validity of your payment method. It’s only a temporary hold and will disappear shortly.

Although Spotify releases these funds immediately, it may take longer for your bank to process the transaction.
