Account hacked - help

Account hacked - help

Accounts team,

 

It appears my account has been hacked/hijacked. I started noticing something amiss when my Facebook was reporting music which I never listened to. I thought it might have been some random bug.

 

Then I realised that I can no longer login to my account using the Spotify username. Just tonight, while I was listening to some of my music (Al di Meola) - I noticed that my music kept pausing and the message appeared noting that my account is being used elsewhere.

 

Thankfully the Facebook connection came in handy. I am a premium user, and the contact email address on my account has been changed. I cannot change the contact email address back to my own because the password has been changed too.

 

Could someone please contact me on the email address that I registered/created the account with please? I can verify any details necessary.

 

This is a great shock to me because I thought I was relatively tech savvy and was pretty careful.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

Just get in touch using this contact form specifying a working email address in the first box, any replies will go to that address then. Just be sure to include your facebook email address and username in the main message. 

 

If you get an automated reply pointing you to the community, just reply directly to that and it will go to a Spotify staff member (no more automated replies).
